Vaujany
is an idyllic Alpine village located in the Isère region of
France. It is one of eight resorts that make up the world-class ski
area of Les Grandes Rousses, which also includes the more famous resort
of Alpe d'Huez.
Vaujany
embraces both the traditional way of alpine life as well a modern
approach to tourism. The resort has grown in recent years, but retains
much of its original charm and style. It has excellent facilities,
including a 160-person cable car linking directly into the surrounding
ski area.
The
scenery around Vaujany is breathtaking. The south-facing resort looks
directly onto the Massif des Grandes Rousses mountains and the Fare
waterfall. The views from all parts of the resort are clear and
uncluttered, leading to a feeling of space and tranquility.
With
an excellent snow record and above-average levels of sunshine, Vaujany
is an ideal resort for those seeking superb skiing combined with the
appeal and sophistication of an alpine village retreat.
