Kick Ski Resort Manager

The Resort Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of in-resort operations and for ensuring that Kick Ski's high standards of customer service are maintained.

He/she acts as the primary point of contact for any guest issues that may arise and is responsible for ensuring that any problems are sorted out quickly and efficiently. He/she will also be required to represent the company on transfer days and will take responsibility for the day-to-day line management of in-resort staff.

The Resort Manager will also be responsible for coordinating, and when required, providing the ski hosting service that is offered to guests for the first three days of their stay. It is therefore essential that you are already able to ski and/or snowboard red runs confidently.

It is a requirement of this job that you speak and write French to a good standard. For example, you should be confident when speaking French over the telephone and be able to deal with situations in French such as:

  • Calling out a repair-man to fix a faulty dishwasher
  • Changing a food order with a local supplier
  • Arranging for collection and delivery of laundry
  • Making bookings for taxis, restaurants, après-ski activities, etc

This job will require some driving and you will therefore need a full UK driving licence.

Ideally, you will have done similar work before, although a mature and balanced outlook is as important as direct previous experience.

You must have the following skills and attributes in order to successfully apply for this job:

  • Excellent client handling skills
  • A warm and outgoing personality
  • Ability to solve problems and to think quickly and logically under pressure
  • Good spoken and written French, as defined above
  • Good skier or snowboarder
  • Full, clean, UK driving licence
  • Adaptable and flexible, willing to put in long hours when required

Desirable Skills and Attributes

It is preferable that you have the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous line-management experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Good IT skills, able to use software such as MS Office
